Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at emeraldweightloss.wellness@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

We offer in-person visits across Gaston, Lincolnton, Denver, Iron Station, and parts of Charlotte in North Carolina.

Our Telehealth services are available statewide for residents of North Carolina, Arizona, and Iowa — with more states coming soon!

You can book an appointment by calling our office at 980-277-1987, visiting our email at  emeraldweightloss.wellness@gmail.com  or click one of the many "Call to schedule links" within the website and fill out the appointment request form.

To be eligible for treatment, patients must be 18–65 years of age. Eligibility is determined after a review of your full medical history with our practitioner, as certain health conditions, pregnancy, or breastfeeding may prevent you from starting treatment. If you are pregnant, please coordinate closely with your obstetrician regarding your care.

We do not accept private insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid. However, our treatments are generally far less expensive than most co-pays of an urgent care facility or an emergency room visit.

We accept credit card, debit card, HSA, FSA, and cash

Our in-person is usually scheduled, but an ASAP option (additional $19) which allows for a 2-hour time frame. Our medical provider is usually there within the hour. Otherwise, she will arrive at the scheduled date and time.

It's all really simple... You will call to make a consultation. Once you speak with the Practitioner, she will verify the location, conduct a quick consultation, preferred treatment and supplements. She will send a link for your billing information. Once the information is completed, she arrives at the scheduled location and time.

We start with a balanced salt solution, such as Normal Saline, which is then fully customized by your practitioner with the specific medications and vitamins needed for your symptoms.

We use only the safest, highest quality medicines sourced directly from reputable U.S. medical suppliers, similar to those used by hospitals. We never compromise on quality.

Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD) is a coenzyme found in every single cell of your body. It’s essential for energy production, repairing damaged DNA, and keeping your cells functioning at their best. NAD levels decrease as we age. Scientists believe that this decline contributes to issues like fatigue, slower recovery, and reduced cognitive sharpness.  This therapy replenishes NAD to support healthy energy production, DNA repair, and resilience against oxidative stress.

There is no one size fits all answer.  Your body’s levels of NAD and how they change over time, play a big role in how often treatments may be recommended. Some people choose a short series of sessions to jumpstart their results, while others schedule periodic infusions for ongoing support. You and the provider will discuss what is best for you.

The ingredients used are typically safe, but as with all treatments and medications, there is a risk of side effects.

Common reactions to IV hydration therapy and IM injections are minor, such as local pain, swelling, or bruising, and temporary effects like nausea, fatigue, headaches, or slight changes in blood pressure. We also monitor for less frequent but more serious risks, including infection, allergic reactions, fluid overload, or vein irritation.

We take every precaution to minimize any discomfort. Each team member has over 10 years of experience with I.V. placements and administering medications. We use a pediatric size I.V., therefore at best, you may feel a small pinch.

Semaglutide mimics the GLP-1 hormone (found naturally in the body), sending powerful signals to your brain to reduce your appetite, regulate blood sugar levels, and slow down digestion. This leads to fewer cravings, better portion control, and an easier path to lose weight over time.

To ensure your safety with Semaglutide, we use bloodwork to confirm that major organs, such as your kidneys and liver, are functioning normally. This allows your body to safely process the medication and prevents potential complications.

While results vary, most patients see an average loss of one to two pounds of body weight per week. Individual outcomes depend on factors like your diet, exercise, metabolism, and adherence to your program.

While the initial phase starts with four weekly injections, we recommend patients continue Semaglutide for at least three to six months for the best weight loss outcomes. We will customize a long-term strategy based on your progress to maximize results.

While semaglutide is generally tolerated, some patients may experience mild nausea, diarrhea, and occasional low blood sugar (hypoglycemia). These side effects are usually temporary and manageable.

However, you should contact your provider immediately if you experience persistent gastrointestinal symptoms, severe abdominal pain, signs of pancreatitis, or allergic reactions. Your health and safety are always our top priorities.

Semaglutide is not prescribed if a patient has a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) or Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2), or a history of pancreatitis or gallbladder disease. Other contraindications include a serious allergy to semaglutide or its ingredients.

A minor acute illness is non-life-threatening, short-term health problem that requires quick attention. An acute illness comes on suddenly and lasts for a short period, distinguishing it from a long-lasting, chronic condition.

No. While we use telehealth for most non-emergency medical conditions, some require an in-person visit for accurate diagnosis and treatment.

For the following conditions, an in-person visit is required: Suspected Ear Infections, Suspected Strep Throat,  and testing for COVID-19, FLU, RSV, and Strep Throat.
